Where does the geo-fence address come from?
Prospr’s clock-in geo-fence validation uses Google’s map technology to determine and store the proper geographic coordinates for the work Location(s) built in Prospr.
How geo-fence data is captured?
When team members clock-in for their shifts (on mobile or web) Prospr technology attempts to validate and calculate the distance of the user’s current location to the work location.
If users are outside the geo-fence, can they still clock in and out?
If users are outside of the geo-fence when clocking in, they will be prompted that they are outside of their work location and asked to confirm if they wish to proceed. They can choose to proceed with clocking in. You can review geo-fence compliance in your Open/Close report.
- Users must have location-sharing enabled with Prospr to receive the Yes/No outcome for the geo-fence validation.
- Geo-fence validation will not prevent users from clocking in if the validation fails.
Interpreting your GeoFence data
The Time & Attendance report, column “Inside GeoFence”, contains the outcome of the geo-fence validation.
Yes = Yes, the user was within the work Location radius at the time of clock-in
No = No, the user was outside of the work Location radius at the time of clock-in
-- = Undetermined, as the user did not clock in from a device where they are sharing their location with Prospr
